En garde! Prêt? Allez!

Bonjour Heroes.

I'm no fencing expert (which is why I'm explaining the rules to you, as well as to myself), and to be honest, it's way too stressful to watch on TV.

But now you'll be able to tell at a glance whether it's a foil, a saber, or an épée.

Be quick!

Well done. I didn't realize until today that "en garde" and "touche" come directly from the fencing sport. It's a very elegant game.

I like your characters! Where did you get them/how did you make them?

Hi AshlyHart . Not easy to find them. There was a board with about fifteen positions for the two opponents on Freepik.com, but not exactly what I needed. I asked ChatGPT Image Generator 5.2 to recreate some positions with a slightly more realistic rendering based on this image. I didn't try to improve the result over and over again due to lack of time (see Jonathan_Hill 's demo from last week: how much time am I willing to spend on a demo?). I separated each opponent and modified some of the poses in Photoshop (a pair of legs here, a chest there, another mask on top). And there you have it.
