A Storyline Template is stored as a *.storytemplate file. By default, these files are located in the \My Articulate Projects\Storyline Templates\ folder, but they could be in another location if you downloaded or saved them elsewhere.
To edit one of these files, double-click the .storytemplate file. When the template opens, you can choose to insert one or more of the slides into a presentation. Make any necessary updates and save the updated *.storytemplate file.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thanks!
How can I save an existing template from the slide master view within a project as a template? I tried to right click and see options..but did not see any other than 'rename, duplicate' etc.
Hi Indrani - Are you asking how to save a project as a template?
Open the project you want to use as a template, then do the following:
Go to the File tab on the Storyline ribbon and click Save As.
Browse to the location where you want to save your template.
Tip: Storyline will save a copy in the location you specify and another copy in your "\Documents\My Articulate Projects\Storyline Templates" folder, which is where the Storyline library is kept.
Give your template a recognizable File name.
Use the Save as type drop-down to choose Storyline Template (*.storytemplate).
