I'd like to be a tester. I intend to upgrade ASAP.

If we had already applied to test studio 12, are we automatically on the list to test studio 13?

I don't want to fall into a trap of saying "Yes!" and then finding out I am wrong, however, as Storyline currently publishes to Tin Can, I am guessing that Studio 13 will have this enabled.

Currently I'm using Articulate Quizmaker 09 - and I need grades to feed into a corp. database.

Do I ask developers to get a database to talk to SCORM or Tin Can?

Can anyone out there confirm if Tin Can is in Studio 13?

Yep, Studio '13 will support TinCan.

Storyline supports Tin Can. Tin Can is the latest standard. Though we haven't officially confirmed it (this page gives you a preview of Studio '13 features), it's a safe bet that Studio '13 should offer support for the latest elearning industry standards.

Quick question about the beta. In the Storyline beta, we had to uninstall previous versions of Storyline before installing the latest RC. One of my colleagues would like to participate in the Studio '13 beta, but she doesn't want to have to uninstall Studio '09, which we currently use extensively on our team. Will this be required as part of this beta?

Hi Linda-

I'm sure that will be covered during the beta, if and when your colleague is asked to participate in it. Typically, though, you would not be able to have two versions of the same Articulate software installed, so I'd expect that to be true for Studio '13, too.

This is a very pertinent question for some of us, because if we are freelancers working on a team project, either with other freelancers, or on behalf of a company who uses Articulate Products, it seems to be an "all or nothing" situation if we are group-working on projects.

Certainly, I would not want to be working on a beta version for client work anymore, and if I was, I would need all my fellow-workers to be on that beta-version too.

It would be great to have the ability to continue working with a known and stable product (I guess I am talking about Storyline here...), whilst beta'ing, but the principle is the same.

I guess it all depends on whether Studio 13 is actually seen as "the same product" as current Studio Suite.

There may well be a certain % of "power users" who will need to qualify themselves out of betas because of this situation, which would be a great shame IMHO.

Seems to me that the workaround is simply to use a different machine to do the beta testing, and keep the previous version of Studio on your working machine so that you can continue to do projects. I've submitted a request to participate in the Studio '13 beta as well, and that's what I'm planning on doing, assuming I'm asked to participate =)

Looking forward to the beta. I'm very excited about the new features that have been advertised in '13 so far, should address several issues we've faced with the '09 version =)

Yes, I just got a Surface, and that's what I was planning to test on. I figured it would be cool to see just how much of a notebook-tablet hybrid it REALLY is in practice.

Usually, I prefer to do beta testing on my personal machines, and do my "work work" on my work-issued machines. I didn't realize that having more than one machine/device is that unusual. I've always worked on more than one machine in the past 20 or so years I've been doing this stuff, but perhaps I'm just spoiled.
