I love it too, and want to get started on a project I have. However, I can't figure out how to change the hotspots. I don't see any triggers for them, when you hover over the keys, coffee, pen, I would like to change the text. Please help
Hi Vicki Hagen! .... BwwwuuuHahahaha... Yes, they are well hidden.
Actually, you can find them on the Slide Master. When I don't want to accidentally move things while developing, I put things there. Plus, it's that "create once, use multiple times" feature of the Slide Master that I love.
I "blame" Tom Kuhlmann, LOL. He's done a great job over the years reminding us all to take wonderful advantage of the Slide Master view.
Hope this helps. If not, feel free to contact me again.ide
In Storyline, select the View tab. Then, select Slide Master, and you'll find those pesky 3 hotspots on the very first Master Slide.
If anyone would like to download the source file, you can find it here:
community.articulate.com/.../tabbed-navigation-templates.aspx
Just scroll down the page until you reach the image of the Composition Book.
Thanks, I was able to find the first Master Slide. I added several others, (Insert Slide Master, Rename>Tab2>Rename, Close Master View.
When I go back to Master View, only the last master slide I worked on shows. The others are available through the Layout option, but I can't edit them. Can you explain how to access ALL master slides to edit them?
Surprisingly, there is no conversation when I search "Master Slide".
Hi I love this template but now I want to add one more tab. Tab 6. I went to the slide master view and can't seem to figure out how to add an additional tab. Any suggestion are really appreciated. Thanks.
Hmmm... I think, Vicki Hagen, that the fastest way to find help would be to zip together both my original Storyline file and your current project file (zip the 2 into 1 zipped folder), and send it to Articulate Support.
They're terrific with "diagnosing" and resolving issues.
Go to this page on their site and select the Submit a Case button:

Good luck!

Hi Jenise,
I used your composition project to assist me in Storyline about a month ago. Then I moved over to Captivate to see which fits my skill level. Storyline won!
Is it possible add more tabs to this already great project?
I've re-created almost everything in PPT for Studio 13 but I can't find a free/for sale composition book that opens like yours. Where did you find it? Unfortunately, I don't have Storyline so I can't access the files you shared.
Hi, Vassiliki, Antoinette, and Kim: Thank you for visiting this page!
Looks like I'll need to spend time this weekend to answer questions in a new blog post. You all are asking excellent questions!
But quickly:
Add More Tabs - Yes, you can add more tabs. You can also delete tabs.
Images for Composition Book: I purchased the composition notebook images from iStockphoto.com which has both closed and opened book images. (Sometimes it pays to pay for images LOL.)
There are also free options on Pixabay.com and take a look at these:

I'm so pleased people like the Composition Notebook tabs, and I hope to make time this weekend to address your questions in more detail.
@jenisecook
Hi, Jonathon, and thanks for visiting. If you get a chance, post a link to your finished project here so we can see how you modify and use this interaction!
@jenisecook
If you're interested, here's the link to the post I wrote on my blog, September 20, 2013, to give a little background:

Hoping you all have a very good New Year 2015!
Hi Jenise!
Great job! This download is extremely useful!!
I do have a question though... when I go to preview the entire project, a black frame pops up around the screen that has your title "Composition Book Tabs by Jenise Cook". As well, the "next" button is not showing up, because it is black on the black frame. How do I change these?
Hi, Lisa and Gabriela, thank you for your kind comments!
4 October 2016 - I have "retired" from e-learning projects, and so this is my last comment on this post.
I deeply appreciate everyone's comments and suggestions on this project. I will miss this community very much. Here's my YouTube video of the Composition Notebook Tabs:
