I've had a few community members ask if I can share how I built this drag-and-drop interaction that's part of the Weekly Challenge Compilation demo I recently shared with the community. Since we aim to please here at Articulate, I created a template .story version of the interaction you can use for your own projects. All the interactivity and triggers have been set-up; simply drop in your images and text, and customize the color scheme to your liking.
Hi Nicole, thanks for posting this fun interaction. Could you tell me how to edit the continue button in the final feedback? For smoe reason I can't add a trigger to it.

Giles: Thanks for pointing that out! I now see when you're editing a state you can't edit an existing trigger. However, a trigger already attached to an object when it's added to the state WILL funcion, so, to edit the continue button:
- Create your own "Continue" button and add appropriate trigger
- Use the "Cut" feature to cut your button (for cut and paste)
- Select the "Meet Your Coworkers" text box.
- Select the States tab from the bottom.
- Click the "Edit States" button.
- Select "Final Feedback" state
- Remove current "Continue" button
- Paste your own button
And the button with trigger should work just fine that way! :) Hope this helps!
Hi Nicole - thanks for the response. I must be doing something wrong. I followed your instructions and I got the same result i.e. I can't assign anything to the new "continue" button.
In the end, I 'hid' a continue button in the drag and drop layer and added a slide trigger to make the button normal when the states of the pictures are drag correct. That's why I like SL so much - you can just keep trying stuff out until it works.
Hey Giles! Good tip, and I agree - there's almost always more than 1 way to solve a problem with Storyline!
Just in case others run into the same problem (which I suspect they will) I created a quick screencast that illustrates how to add a trigger to the Continue button on the "Final Feedback" state.
Although you can't edit or add triggers when you're editing a state, you can copy and paste an item with an existing trigger on a state, and the trigger will remain functional. The key is to add the trigger BEFORE you paste your button onto the state. Hope this helps to clarify.

I'm having problems with the disable state. I needed 9 drag and drop interactions so I duplicated the drag items, the drag targets, the triggers and the layers. Everything looks fine and work, but..
The problem is that at the end of the interaction the items are not deactivated and the final feedback state doesn't appear.
Just one of my all 9 items change to disable after drop it correctly.
I hope you can understand me and witch is my problem, otherwise please tell me, I would love to have some help.
