I'm not too clear but my guess is you are referring to the text between the shapes. In this particular sample I used variables named "firstMenu" "secondMenu" "thirdMenu". To use these put a text box in the 1stLayer and type %firstMenu%.
You don't have to use variables, I was just testing the approach. However, your content should be in each of the tree layers. I hope this helps.
