Hi, I thought this was a fantastic theme for learning. While I don't like being "that guy" is there any issue after you've collected the first 2 medallions in building 1: If you go to the medallion screen it says you have completed Activity 1 + 3 when you have completed 1 + 2. Sorry just thought you'd like to know :)
Still a fantastic effort, much appreciated for sharing.
I really enjoyed it as well. Just wonder if a timing aspect might be a good addition too? Forcing learners to do the interaction very quickly.
- What do others think about the idea that wrong answers actually help with retention in a gomified setting, I thought that when doing the matching interaction with numbers and jobs/countries/ etc... I was naturally more engaged with the wrong answers? Just wondering what others think about intentionally making parts of a game very difficult but with feedback that guides towards goal.
This story is pretty awesome. The artwork and animations are very well done.
I liked seeing the elevator open every time and watching the medals stack up. The notes page is a very cool feature.
I agree with Steven Michael that the feedback scheme in the jobs/numbers/countries interaction was a learning experience unto itself. I have been mulling (is that the correct word?) how one would make an eLearning that contains only (or predominantly) interactions with the teaching taking place wholly in the feedback.
Thank you so much for sharing this, I will have a great time going over it carefully to see how everything works.
John,
That is a superb "mull-over" question!!!
So, I guess one thing would be to make the interactions to not merely be questions but somehow related to course content on a basic level but the interactions would have to be difficult enough that users make errors would be directed to the real learning when they entered the feedback...
Another positive of this approach would be that good learners would naturally progress faster. It would be a n excellent system for self-paced learning with learners of differing abilities.

Even though it has all been said, thanks again from me for sharing this great Elevator Game. I just decided to use it as final exam methode in one of my projects. While my learners hate quizes, they will not even realize to be in a quiz.
All the best to you Tania, and have a lovely Christmas season
