This historical timeline interaction built with Storyline is just what you need to get that antique look you're going for. Just replace the existing text and images with your own content and you're ready to go!
Of all the timelines, this is my favorite! It's also the only one that sized itself to the full height of my browser. All the others looked like postage stamps (stock 720 x 540, I think) on my 3440 x 1440-pixel monitor.
Thanks so much for sharing!
Super helpful template!!!
I'm a rookie Storyliner (been using the program 3 days). I've been using this awesome template for my HS drama class and have 2 time periods that I can't figure out how to display correctly (One the info exits when it should appear, and the other has the old info). Being a rookie, I can't quite figure it out. Any ideas?
You are welcome Mark.
Mari, sorry for the delayed response. I didn't receive an update when you posted to this area of the site. If you are still trying to figure it out, drop me a line via my Profile and I'll help you out.

Tara,
I clicked the Download button and it downloaded without any problems. Are you receiving any errors on your end? The link is stored and served up by Articulate's web server.

Hi Richard - this is brilliant and just what I need.
Unfortunately my charity is using the original Storyline, not Storyline 2. Do you know if there is anyway to create this in the original Storyline as the download wont work :-(
Fiona,
Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of Storyline 1 only Storyline 2 which this was created in. You might be able to understand some of the build components by reviewing here:

Renae,
1. Go to the timeline slide
2. Locate the map picture on the timeline (it should be at the very bottom of the timeline items).
3. Click the lock to unlock that item
4. Delete it.
This is great Richard! I would like to use this in a course I am working on but I cannot figure out how to change the text, images and boxes on the exit animation. I have successfully changes everything on the slide layers without altering any of the programming work that you have done, but I can still see your shapes and images of the original layers when I move the slider to choose a different year. Would you be able to help me with this problem?
