Use Storyline 360's newest interaction, the dial, to reveal content bit by bit. Simply swap out the text for your own and adjust the color scheme to make this template your own.
Wonderful. This is the simplest and most effective way of explaining how the dial works. found this thread Just in time .I just had to look at triggers. You explain things very simply! Love it.
I get a message that this was created in a newer version of Storyline, but I am pretty sure I have the most current version of this tool. Did I miss something?
Hi Paula! Are you using Storyline 360? This is the latest version of Storyline, and comes as part of our new subscription offering, Articulate 360. Here's more info: https://articulate.com/360/
Love this template Nicole - thanks for sharing.
I'm waiting for my 360 upgrade to come through at the moment but am keen to use the Dial function, and can't have a play as my trial has run out :(
Do you know if its possible to link to say a lightbox slide by clicking on one of the quadrants when the dial is turned? I'd love to be able to do something similar by providing another level of information for each topic.
I guess this could be done without the dial, but would be really cool to use both.
Hi Suzanne - the boxes are rectangle shapes so you could add two more rectangles to your slide, and here's a series of tutorials that will help you learn how to work with dials and adjust the dial itself: https://community.articulate.com/series/74/articles/articulate-storyline-360-user-guide-how-to-work-with-dials
Hi Nicole, thanks for sharing this cool template. I'd like to use it as a menu so when the user chooses where to the point the dial they can then get more info from a layer. Any recommendation on how I could do that? I know I can't add a button or hot spot on a state.
Hi Nicole, this might seem like a stupid question. But I wanted to ask about the 'states' of the rectangles. Keeping the dial aside, the rectangles also change state to selected when you click them. But how is that the state of a selected rectangle (say rectangle 1) is changing back to normal when I click on another rectangle (say rectangle 2)? I don't see any trigger that is doing this. When I try to recreate this, the states of all the 4 rectangles will change to selected if I click them one by one. I'm intrigued! radio?
This may not work in the current version, else I'm going mad. I see no text, in the layers, or on the rectangle until I preview it, so there is no text I can change. I can't see layers either. I don't know how this is done
