This Storyline 360 example uses nifty features including dials, variables, layers, states and more! Pop open this file and swap out the text to make it your own in just minutes. You can use the fonts (Pacifico & Bebas) to get the exact look-and-feel you see here!
I really love how people share their templates.... it is so helpful for someone new at a non-profit that is trying to learn all this on the fly. And I used Nicole's amazing template and branded it. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for sharing. I hope someday I am proficient enough to have something to share back.
So now I have to ask - I'm new here and can't seem to find the information on this - am I allowed to use this template (or any kind of template on this community) for my own projects? Does it need to be credited?
I love this very much and it would be a great addition to my training. I work in a corporate government environment where software isn't updated very often, hence no 360. Is it possible for this to be save in Storyline2, so I can use the template, or is there a way I can download the actions screenshots so i can recreate the lock myself? I very much appreciate your hard work in creating and sharing this.
Hi there Claire! Thank you for your comment. The dial feature is not available in Storyline 2 so unfortunately you cannot recreate this exactly. However,if you pop into the Downloads forums and go back a few pages you'll find tons of free SL2 downloads you can use.
Hi Nicole, many thanks for sharing. Once the code has been cracked, I'd link to link to another code. I have duplicated the existing slides and have added a trigger to the continue button but When it jumps to the new set of slides the existing code appears. Please can you tell me how I can make this code non visible again? Many thanks Michael
Hi Michael!
You're going to have to update the variable associated to each dial in the duplicated slide. If you can post this questions in the building better courses forum (https://community.articulate.com/forums/building-better-courses) and attach your .story file there we can help you get it working!
Newbie here again.
I modified the Crack the Code to match our brand...and would love to use it as a way to reinforce a lesson on diversity...... but we use Rise and not Storyline.
So I imported it into Rise. Works great on a computer. In Rise I use the "continue" so that people do not have to Crack the code to move forward.... but on the phone... I seem to be trapped and cannot move forward to the next unit.. What do I need to add (if anyone has time to answer) in Storyline for users to easily exit this activity, particularly when viewing on a mobile phone?
Hi Amelia! Glad you are able to put this to good use! Sorry you've run into this issue! Please post your question in the Rise discussion forums so we can help you come up with an answer: https://community.articulate.com/forums/rise
When I add this a new scene to my story I only get to answer first question and when I hit continue it never takes me back to dial. I did not change any setting when I uploaded. Why is this happening
Hi Tarlene! I would recommend you pop into the forums and post your question there, along with the file you're using. https://community.articulate.com/forums/building-better-courses
I am running into the same issue as another designer that made a post in the thread for the Storyline 360: Combination Lock Quiz. Once the initial code has been cracked, I'd link to link to another code. I have duplicated the existing slides and have added a trigger to the continue button to go to the new module. Also, I was able to change the code variables for the combo. However, when it jumps to the new set of slides the existing code appears. I need to get the dial to "set" to the new numbers and display in the box. If someone can please tell me how I can make the old code non visible and set up new scenes with the new codes, it would be very much appreciated.
