I can't see the benefit of using a dial here. Plus when I click on one of 4 areas directly, the dial doesn't reflect this, doesn't turn appropriately. Plus, at 12 o'clock it selects nothing. Colors are nice, icons are nice, the dial is ... well, just a "new" feature in SL so why not to use it, right :)?
Nice job, David! How did you get the player to not display "menu" or "resources"? I clicked mine off in the player settings, deleted every title from the menu, etc. and I have no resources, but yet, these two menu items keep showing up. I am re-purposing a course in which I did use these two features, but now I cannot get them to go away. Is there a way to clear the cache, like we do in web, maybe? Any advice? Anyone? Thanks.
You could try this. Once you've made the changes of unchecking Menu and Resources, save the player as a custom player, and select it as the player for this course. It's possible that Storyline is picking up the default player settings of the old course you repurposed.
Hi @dvdlindenberg
Thanks for the beautiful demo on Dial Interaction. I've download the file and while reviewing observed one issue described below.
"If I am clicking on the triangles instead of moving the dial, the respective triangle is changing to it's selected state. However, the dial point position is not updating."
To solve this you can update the dial variable on click of each triangle.
I am using your .story file after resolving this issue. I don't know how can I share the updated source file with you as there is no adding attachment option in the comment section.
Thanks,
Biraja
