Here's a flashcard template with a cool flip animation that you can use to teach learners anything from vocabulary to complex concepts and everything in between.
i am not able to put any animations on my states. Is this supposed to be a feature of states? I've never been able to do that. The Animation option is grayed out for me when editing states.
Bonjour, 2 ans après la bataille, je tente une question. Déjà des heures que je cherche comme faire tourner cette carte. Merci déjà pour ça mais je ne sais pas ce que ça veut dire "sortir du mode édition" donc partie animation toujours grisée.
While looking at the states in Thomas' .story, I see the animations on his states. But I cannot seem to replicate this in a new .story file. My animations pane is also grayed out while editing states. HELP!
Sorry - I misspoke! Like the rest of you, I can see the animations and copy them from Thomas's slide, but I cannot add an animation to a state in a new shape. I hope someone figures this out!
I FOUND THE ANSWER!
Although you cannot add animations to shapes created automatically when you add STATES......you can add animation to a shape and then copy/paste it into the STATE.
I did JUST THAT with this little sample: https://360.articulate.com/review/content/6cf70967-b23f-4473-a295-bbf96f80d02d/review
Hi Anastasia, thanks for sharing!
One more Question: I saw in your example that you have a "print page" functionality in the Player. I assume this is a Java Script command?
Would you mind sharing this Java Script as well? I am Looking for such a solution quite a while
:-)
Bernhard,
Sure! This is where I got the java script to do that:

I know I'm a bit late to the table...but THANK YOU Anastasia! I spent quite a while scratching my head looking at the sample file above before I read the comments! Thought I was going mad! I shall be using this technique in a few areas as it's so cool!
Hi! Amazing template! I love this one and I am using it on my presentation. However, I'm trying to figure out how to change state of NEXT button to NORMAL only when they've flipped both the flashcards. Can anyone help? Thanks so much!
Great template - I am using it for case studies. Students are given three options and select the best option.
What is the "front" state of the flip card for?
On the "normal" state I provided the content for students to select.
On the "back" I provide the feedback on their selection
When I preview the slide, it shows the normal state first, then back state when clicked. The next click goes to "front" state and stays there.
I suspect there is something I am not understanding about. Any ideas?
I have found and may have heard this in a Storyline tips and tricks type webinar....it's best not to use the "normal" state when working with toggle triggers...the technicality of it is far from my memory at this point, however.
Hi. The way I use them is the Normal state - is the one they see when they first visit the slide. Then the front and back are the ones that they are presented with when they select - and then it just toggles between front and back in it's most simple form... In effect that gives them 3 states.... just depends how you want to display the info... hope that makes sense.... I just experimented with all three until i got the effect i wanted... :-) Oh and I also use a hover state as well.
Hey Thomas,
By chance, have you published this with the latest release of SL 360? It now seems the ADA aspects - using TAB and enter to flip the card and read the back are no longer working.
Anyone else experiencing this?
