Thank you for sharing this with us. Actually, I am so impressive that you have done this lesson in such a clean way. I usually used another way to achieve such a course performance.
The differences between your design and my design are:
1. I have taken out all the variables, and "hide this layer"trigger in the layers.
2. I copy the buttons from the base layer and paste them on the slide layers, the triggers of the buttons are all the same.
3. In the properties of the layers I didn't check the option of "hide other slide layers" , so the images in the other slide layer can still show up in the layer you are in.
So this is my designing experience. Hope we can have more discussion. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing your technique, Tracy! It's really helpful and nice to know how others can achieve the same/similar functionality... there's almost always more than one way to do something in Storyline, so it's always exciting to see the methods others come up with! :)
Thanks Nicole, I'm always impressed by what you create.
I really like the simplicity of design and ease of re-creation.
Perhaps for another time in another thread, as you have acted totally correctly in this respect, the community may also benefit from advice/discussions about Free Font websites that claim fonts such as "Action Man" are free for commercial use and yet when opened they are clearly not for chargeable work. Without doubt, we are like you in wanting to access legitimately free resources but are often frustrated in our desire to source ethically. We are so grateful that there are so many contributors to this forum, like yourself, have a genuine desire to share openly and freely.
Thank you again Nicole.
You're very welcome, Vassiliki! By the way it was lovely meeting you at Learning Technologies 2016 in London! Thanks again for stopping by the booth to say hello and chat with us :)
