I am new to storyline2. just want to understand if I need to click on Slider to see the effect? or it will slide automatically?

As it stands, you have to drag the orange slider to see the effect.
I think that most of the visible 'sliding' happens based on the value of numeric variable 'MasterSlider'.
When you adjust the orange slider, all it's doing is manipulating variable MasterSlider and the other sliders (with the images on) are shifting accordingly.
So, theoretically, you could manipulate variable MasterSlider by whatever means you liked - for instance by changing MasterSlider's value by triggers on the timeline (at 1 second MasterSlider = 1, at 2 seconds MasterSlider = 2...) - and the images would slide in accordingly.
An easier way for this effect to happen automatically is to not use sliders at all. Just put 'fly in from left' animations on the respective images. Their default action... Expand

While it will not make the sliders move automatically I've built a similar project but instead of a slider on the screen to move the objects I've made the whole background a slider in the master slide. The result is that the learner slides the entire image and all the pieces move because they are linked to the Master Slider. Again, not automatic, but is cool 'cause there is not a visible slider.
I'd post the example but the page is full of proprietary images for our company. I'll see if I can build a generic mock-up to post. Got to complete the project first.

I don't have a very powerful computer, but notice that whenever I look at a project with large sliders with image thumbnails (i.e. like Poitr's), it's painfully slow to manipulate things on the page in Storyline.
Has anyone else noticed this, or is it just my $%#& slow computer?
If someone who knows their way around the back-end of Storyline is looking, what's taking all the horsepower? Is it the large slider or the fact that it has a large graphic thumbnail (assuming it's not just me)?

I'm building a project with 9 sliders on one page with the parallax effect and have noticed the same thing you mention. Painfully slow to respond... click...wait...object moves...click...wait...item pastes...etc. You get the picture. I'm using a laptop with an i5 processor and 16BG RAM and a mostly empty 500GB platter style hard drive. I don't think it's your slow computer. I would love to find a solution to this issue.
