Comics blend images and text together to grab people’s attention and make stories come alive. And the growing popularity of nonfiction comics makes it clear that this medium can lead to compelling learning experiences too. But why not go one step further and enhance the experience with interactivity?

In this example, learners strengthen their empathy by exploring how different members of a remote team respond to being asked to return to the office. By choosing comics-style stock illustrations and arranging them into panel-like blocks, creator Tracy Carroll designed a mobile-friendly, scrolling comic similar to what you would find on Webtoon. And thanks to the Rise 360 Labeled Graphics block, she took it to the next level by making the speech and text bubbles interactive.
