Nice job, Trina! This is a great example of a branching scenario. I enjoyed going through it and imagine that learners would be highly engaged in this type of course.
Hi Mary. The first thing I did was outline the entire scenario on paper in a Word doc so I could flesh out how I wanted everything to flow. Then in Rise, I laid out my lessons following my outline and used the button stack block to link one lesson to another. I also turned off the sidebar menu, the previous & next buttons and the lesson numbers (both are under Settings > Navigation). That way a learner would have to use the button stacks to navigate through the scenario.

A great example. Can you explain (or show) how Rise 'locks' the ability to proceed until the viewer/learner has completed necessary steps (such as listen to the audio).
BTW - I like the way the audio was presented with the still images to provide atmosphere.

The new continue button block in Rise gives you the option to disable the continue button until either all the blocks above it are completed, or the block directly above it is completed. You can also make the continue button available all the time. Great course! But.. I still can't figure out how you hid the continue button under your buttons stacks without having a continue button below. That's the exact functionality I'm trying to build! :)
Hi Martin. I haven't used a Continue block beneath a button stack for this project, but I did turn-off the Prev/Next navigation prompts and the lesson numbers. You can find those features in Rise under Settings > Navigation. http://drops.articulate.com/jSmHd2/otCZyTYvBP
Hi Trina, I am trying this but am having lots of trouble. Usually when you click continue, the slides move down to the next lesson in a section. When I direct users in a branching scenario to take a different branch, the lessons progress upward. I don't like this. I want each lesson to progress normally once you are in it, no matter when or how you enter it. Also, if you repeat a section, the continue buttons disappear. Can you help? or direct me to someone who can?

Hi Laurie. Rise courses aren't slide based so the experience is quite different. Rise courses follow a vertical scrolling convention that's similar to browsing a web page.
As for the continue buttons disappearing once content has been viewed, that is by design. The continue blocks in this course are set to be enabled once the learner listens to the full audio/video content. Once they've listened to audio/video all the way through one time the continue button will be enabled for them when they repeat a section/revisit a branch.
Overall, it sounds to me like you'd like a more customizable course experience with a finer degree of control over how learners navigate. If that's the case, I'd recommend going with Storyline 360 over Rise.
