Rise: Stating the Problem Scenario - E-Learning Examples

Here's an example of an interactive scenario in Rise. I started with some old content I had in PowerPoint and wanted to see how I can make that interactive in Rise.

Here are some of the features I used to create the scenario:

No sidebar menu enabled
Branching feature to jump to different lessons
Interactive flash cards for the quick knowledge checks & feedback
Continue divider to progressively reveal the content

Great example. I am curious about how you managed to include the face and hand icons inside the flip cards for the feedback. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Carolina! If I'm not mistaken, I think he created the whole front and back of the cards as square images using elements from the Content Library. Selecting "Full Card Image" for both front and back and importing them there should do it :)

Very nice example! Haven't tried Rice yet but now I think I have to :-) Wasn't sure you could import PowerPoint in Rice... is it as smooth as in Storyline?

Is it possible to create such type of designs in Articulate Storyline 2? Or in any other version of Storyline. I loved this design.

You could probably do most of it, but you don't get the scrolling up effect in Storyline.

Hi Tom, I gave this a try using the guidance you provided and my images are really blurry when I add them to the flip cards in Rise. Any tips on resolving this?

Can you attach and example of what you're inserting? Generally if the image gets scaled up/down you get some pixelation with bitmaps. So it may just be a matter of playing around with the image size.

Easy fix. Change your slide size to 10 in x 10 in. Generally, 1 inch is about 100 pixels. So a 10 in slide is about 1000x1000. You'll see the image looks just fine at that resolution.

How do you do the branching in RISE? Is there a function to go between lessons within RISE and I missed it?

Love this! I don't suppose I'm overlooking a way to disable the sidebar for only certain blocks...? I'd like to add something like this to the end of a series of lessons, but I need the sidebar for those. Thanks!

There's currently no way to disable the sidebar at the lesson level.

@Libby there are two blocks. one is the text image block and the other the button I played around with the padding on the blocks to pull the two together tightly.
