Hi Ian, Thought I would duplicate what was done and add the template for others to learn :) Have fun ! Let me know if its OK ?
Of course not as slick but functionality is there.

Hi Ian
How do you get to jump to a new slide when you close a light box slide. When I close my lightbox it returns to the original slide.
I would appreciate if I could get help with this as I love the design and functionality its brilliant and would love to create something similar. I have managed to create the Main slide and the question slides its when I try to jump from the lightbox slide that it all falls apart
Thanks in advance
Linda
I took a different approach to this than Xavier suggested. I used true/false variables and triggers on the main slide to achieve this effect. The bad news is that this exact method doesn't work in SL2. The good news is that I was able to modify it slightly to create a similar effect.
Like you mentioned, the tricky part is getting Storyline to jump to the quiz slide after closing the lightbox slide. I've had inconsistent results when trying to trigger the "base slide" from a lightbox slide. This required some creative thinking.
Basically, each slide lightbox slide has a true/false variable associated with it. When the lightbox timeline starts, the appropriate variable is set to true. To trigger the quiz slide when returning to the main menu, I've included a hotspot on the main menu... Expand

Basically, each slide lightbox slide has a true/false variable associated with it. When the lightbox timeline starts, the appropriate variable is set to true. To trigger the quiz slide when returning to the main menu, I've included a hotspot on the main menu that is directly over the area where the user would click the close button on the lightbox slide. As a result, the user will always be in a position to hover over it when they close the lightbox slide. We then add the action "Jump to slide" when "user hovers" to the hotspot. Moreover, the hotspot has conditions to jump to the different quiz slides depending on which of the three lightbox variables is set to true.
It's also important to note that the lightbox variables are reset to false when the user completes the relevant quiz. If we don't do this then the hotspot will continue to trigger the quiz slides.
Does that make sense? It's a bit tedious to summarize. Feel free to email me directly and I can try to walk you through it.

Hello Ian,
Thank you for this explanation. I didn't see it like that. I thought it was simpler than that, but when you explained your thought about the variables, this is making a huge difference. Thank you for your time and this lesson.
Hi Ian
Thank you so much for the clarification I think I understand what you are saying I will give it a go and if I get stuck I will contact you.
Again thank you for your quick response
Linda
Hello Linda,
I think, the designer has created a second action on the close button which send you to the next slide or the slide you need to go to continue your e-learning.
I hope I give you the right answer...
