Thanks Ruth - actually, I do! I wrote a blog post as I was going through the process of designing this demo. You can view this blog post here:

Thanks for asking!
The link is working Anju - here it is again: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/31851006/%23107%20MOBILE%20APP%20COURSE%20DESIGN/Mobile%20App%20Course%20Navigation%20Design%201%20-%20Storyline%20output/story.html
HI, Dianne,
Awesome design! I went to the blog post you linked above, and the instructions were pretty clear!
The only thing I was unsure about is how you built the fly out menu. I'd love to use something similar in my courses.
Thank you!
-Rachel
I've added some information to my blog post on the menu Rachel. The new design for the pantone colour challenge has a slightly different approach. I'm considering sharing my source file so you can see...
Thanks Jeff - this is something that I came across that seems to be becoming quite popular when you're looking at things on the Internet at the moment - so I thought I'd incorporate this into this design.
I would maybe share the newer version - the pantone colour redesign as I improved the design and navigation from the original development. Leave this with me - I would share the source file on this discussion though, not on my blog post.
Thank you for considering it. I'm very curious about this. Question, approx. how long did it take you to build this piece? Were you the only one working on it? Thanks again, it's very elegant, clean and simple yet absolutely effective. I see way too many pieces that don't incorporate the elements of true graphic design. this is a lovely marriage of form and function! Kudos.
I know with this piece I spent quite a bit of time up front researching - I never just jump into a challenge and produce something "quickly". Once I started on the design, I probably put in a few hours - I tend to leave and come back to a design and look at it with fresh eyes, then do some improvements. For me each design is quite an iterative process. This is why I chose to redesign this demo for the pantone colour challenge - because I realised that using triggers and conditions would have been a better option to reduce the time spent on the design - so the second time around it didn't take me nearly as long. And yes - just me working on this!
You are very generous with your comments Caroline - thank you!!
Thanks Dario - this was a lot of fun to work on and yes, I now realise the possibilities and the different way we could be designing based on the way apps look and feel.
Thanks Doris. I created two separate scenes - one for "forward navigation" and one for "backward navigation" - if you want to take a look, I've now released the link to my Storyline source file. Enjoy!
Hi. Trying to recreate something like the menu open and close flyouts on layers. I can get the fly in ok and it looks like a rolldown but then I"m getting my head stuck on the fly back out. Can you help Dianne?
Hi Caroline - you need to create another layer specifically for the animation "fly out", with a short timeline and a trigger to go back to the base layer when the timeline ends - so in reality, the user is not interacting with the layer at all - I call this a "close" layer. So from what I have set up as a menu layer, the trigger when the user clicks on the menu button to close is the show the close layer.
Here's the source file for you to look at: https://www.dropbox.com/s/16qmb83ttw4x72z/Mobile%20App%20Course%20Navigation%20Design%202.story?dl=0
Enjoy!
