Hi Nigel, this looks great. I'm a newbie at Articulate so excuse if this might be obvious but what type of animation are you using? I tried to design something similar but I cannot get the shapes that "fly in" to be as smooth as yours. Are they different layers?
I too would be interested in a share. It is very dynamic and obviously has some Storyline magic that I could learn from. Looking at is was awesome. Understanding HOW would be awesomer.
Dear Santa, I have just seen the coolest ever Storyline template in action! Along with all my other wonderful presents, will you forward me a link so i can download this template? Thanks Santa Ho! Ho! Ho!
I was able to figure this out. It's all taking place in States.
1. You insert a shape (rectangle)
2. Go to States and Edit States
3. Choose New/Hover
4. Duplicate the rectangle by ctrl+D
5. Change the rectangle color to dark gray
6. Right-click the new rectangle and select Format shape
7. Set the transparency at 25%
8. Type in the name of the topic in this rectangle
9. Go to the Animation tab at the top and choose Wipe, setting the Entrance Animation duration at 00.50 and Effect Option as From the Bottom
10. Now, set the Exit Animation as Wipe from the Top, same duration
Save it an Preview it. Think of the possibilities,...
Hi Greg,
Very nice, I had a go at my own version, (which did not include the states animation) see what you think? if anyone wants the Storyline 2 file, they are welcome to it! This still needs a lot of work, I had a 'Next' button on the submenus, so as to avoid returning each time with the back button, I removed it because I could not get it to show 'visited' state.
