I love this idea! Can we download the Storyline file so we can see how it's done? Also a suggestion: sometimes the icon went by before I could click on it. If you add the seekbar or video controls, the learner could rewind if they missed something.
Very nice, Tom.
I'm curious: Was there a reason you had the learner click to pause rather than have the video pause automatically, show the warning, and then click to continue? Generally, when I do paused videos with interactive questions, this is my default design. I was wondering if there is a preferred reason from the User perspective on why I shouldn't continue to do it this way.
Thanks.
As a user, if I have already identified the hazard I may not choose to read what may be "redundant" information. Continuous play allows me to find what I don't know instead of being dragged down by what I do. Just a thought.
Tom shared all of this in one of the Rapid ELearning Blog posts April 2016. I hope this link works. http://blogs.articulate.com/rapid-elearning/interactive-video-e-learning-made-easy/
I was also thinking if the continue button was on the left the user would not have to move the cursor back and forth. I missed one of the signs that way. This is still a great concept and works with any topic where you have a good video.
