Is the selection truly randomised? If so there are two problems I can see when using this in learning. 1) There will be scenarios which the learner must complete, that are essential to the learning. How do you ensure they do these? 2) There is a risk the learner has to repeat scenarios as the spinner keeps landing on the same number. Having said that I do like the graphics and the spinner is very smoothly done :)
I've just answered my own question, and it is indeed random. I landed on 8 and got the answer wrong. Then later on I landed on 8 again and the scenario doesn't reset, it just said 'wrong' without giving me a chance to have another go. Next spin, 8 again and 'wrong' again. It's a neat idea and the graphics are great, but for learning it might work better if it wasn't random. You could then force the learner to do essential scenarios, and also direct them back to redo ones they got wrong.
I think everyone has asked the same question and I don't think they are willing to share how they have done this.
It is a great idea but there is no point in posting things if you are not willing to share how something has been created.
Ok guys, let's put our heads together to see if we can do this SL2 style {atleast until Tania respond. :-)}
You know "If this, then that, on-click, when?"...alright!
I'll take the "make the presenter glow on-click task". I know, I know that's the easy part. Hey, what do you expect, I'm a newbie ;-)
I'm familiar with Javascript but simply I don't understand how to reference some object on a slide or page, do I need:
var obj1=document.getElementByID("Rectangle3");
obj1.style.backgroundColor="Red";
... etc.
or there is some other way of referencing, maybe by using player window, like, for example:
var t=getPlayer();
var obj1=t.getElementByID("Rectangle3");
obj1.style.backgroundColor="Red";
and I presume we need something like this in order to make example as Tania made swell. I tried other way too but no success.
