I love how we can discover such amazing works 5+ years ago.
Jackie, it's a beautiful rendering of a dolls dress-up with charming sound effects.
I'm hunting for inspiration for interactions for use in aged care content. So seeing how principles could be applied for my next project.
With a name like Van Nice - how could it be any different.
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much, Alex! I'm so glad you enjoyed it and hope it helped as you look for inspiration for your valuable work.
I'm currently working on a project to prepare nurse assistants for working with seniors in residential care environments - so of course it's basically compliance training with a lot of medical and technical content - but I like your idea of using something sort of nostalgic and evocative. Not sure yet if I'll come across a topic where something like that would fit (there's still a whooooole lot of content I have yet to discover in this project), but now my antennae are up. :)
This is very fortuitous my learners include carers/nurses for 'at home', residential, and hospital sites.
There has been some horrendous cases of abuse and neglect in the news of late. We've just had a royal commission to review and make recommendations to improve the situation. Luckily my workplace being a not-for-profit haven't been dragged into this.
There's definitely the impetus to promote best practice and a person centered approach. They have an excellent dementia centre so if we develop content for clients, nostalgic and evocative content could be great. In the passed, they did experiment with VR to help people sense what a person going through the syndrome may feel. The aim was to increase empathy.
Anyway, maybe we can share anything we may come across.
I love how the creative process can take us from one place to another. I used your dress the doll interaction to illustrate how we can dress a carer in appropriate PPE (Personal Protective equipment). Jerry provided a solution to drag 'n drop items in the correct order. here:

I used it to dress Connie in PPE.
Thought I'd share:

Oh my gosh, Alex! That's such a great idea - and I'm literally developing a lesson that covers the proper order for both applying and removing PPE right now. I hadn't stopped to come up with an interaction yet, but you've just helped me to perk that lesson right up. Thank you for sharing it! :)
Thanks Jackie, I love finding out how others have come up with solutions to help apply to our own challenges.
There are so many creative solutions people share here.
I feel this community sets itself apart from Captivate.
