Thanks Jennifer, if you haven't seen this already you can read a little bit about how I created the Ebola interaction here: https://community.articulate.com/articles/how-i-created-this-cool-interactive-chart
Really nice example of Skeuomorphism David! I checked your portfolio in the interaction and have a request. In the Articulate Activities, you have a really elegant slider for both a bar graph and a pie chart. Would you be willing to share how you created those? I've used sliders before, but mine are usually limited to changing between 4-5 images or highlighting a time-line.
Thanks for sharing the Skeuomorphism with us!
Hi Trey, thanks, I'm pleased you like the example.
I answered a similar question re: slider/graph on the following thread: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/create-dynamic-graph
If you read through you'll find a link to a .story file that I uploaded that contains a 'bar' from a graph that is linked to a slider.
Let me know if you need any more info once you've read/downloaded the above.
Thanks again David, that is exactly what I was hoping you had put up. Trying to find it in a search just means I hadn't gotten down to your response. lol.
I realized after I looked at yours that it's worth the extra effort to have 100 states vs say 10 or 20 images to allow a much smoother transition. I was working with multiple hidden images to get the same look, but I had to re-hide the taller images as the slider came down (so 2 variables/image). Needless to say, that got tedious quickly. Using states is a much better idea, and one I overlook to my disadvantage.
I'm glad this helps Trey.
100 states is definitely the way to go for a smooth transition. It's still a bit of a tedious task but I think it's worth it.
I just remembered that although I haven't written a full post on how to create the line connector activity, there are a couple of screen grabs in the following post that might provide some useful info: http://www.4-pt.co.uk/rebuilding-flash-content-storyline-2/
