Nice interaction Nancy. I can see why staff would find this database intimidating and your explanations and tips certainly help wade through the data. Well done!
This is done by the Zoom Region tool, under the " INSERT" tab.
You basically drag the zoom region wherever you want it to zoom in, and for how long(on the timeline)
Just play around with it, pretty fun to use.
I use the Zoom tool but it doesn't give me the flexibility to choose how much I want to zoom into the item, for example on a data table like the one above if I just want to zoom into one figure I have to choose a wider range so that the whole of my screen doesn't get taken over by the figure.( I only want half of my screen to show the zoom, people should be able to see the rest of the info in the background)
Go to the "INSERT" tab, click on the "Controls" dropdown and select the data entry field(bottom of the list) with the "1" in it.
This is a numeric Entry Field.
Hi Bob, I was just reviewing the example using Firefox from the url of the example: http://www.pinchedhead.com/examples/Reports_sample%20output/story.html
I did not see a link to download Nancy Woinoski's file to review.
thank you for your help!!
Nancy
Sorry everyone, I didn't know this one was posted in the examples so was not following the discussion. Thanks so much to Bob for picking up the slack for me.
I am creating a tax table interaction where the user must fill in several blanks in a grid. I read that using the text entry feature, you can evaluate only one field at a time. I like how the Sales Report shows a check mark if they got it right but cannot figure out how to put in a picture as feedback. Also, what do you use as a submit button? Is there a way to see this project or does anyone have something similar? Thank you for any help.
This is an old example. In think I built it in Storyline 1. Browsers are changing all the time so it may not work any more. or it could be a cross domain issue. when i get some time I will update it to 360 to see if that helps.
