Quizmaker 360 uses layers to display feedback for question slides. When learners submit their answers, feedback layers overlay the content of the question slide to describe how they performed.

Feedback layers overlay question slides to describe how learners performed and provide supplemental information.

Editing Feedback Layers

In Slide View, click any layer in the Feedback Layers panel in the lower right corner of the screen to display it. (Feedback layers only appear if you've enabled feedback for the slide.)

Design each feedback layer with text, images, shapes, audio, video, and other resources just like you would design the base layer of a slide.

Using Feedback Masters for Consistent Design

To ensure that feedback layers throughout your quiz have a consistent design, edit the feedback master.

Here's how to apply a different layout from the same feedback master to a particular feedback layer in your quiz:

  1. In Slide View, select the feedback layer you want to edit.
  2. Right-click the slide workspace, scroll to Layout, and choose a layout.

Or if your quiz has more than one feedback master and you want to switch to a different master altogether, do this:

  1. In Slide View, select the feedback layer you want to edit.
  2. Use the Feedback Master drop-down list in the Question panel to choose a different master.

Adding Transitions to Feedback Layers

You can add transitions to feedback layers just like slides. Here's how:

  1. In Slide View, select the feedback layer you want to edit.
  2. Go to the Transitions tab on the ribbon and choose a transition from the gallery.
  3. Click Effect Options (if available) and choose a style or direction for your transition.
  4. Choose how fast your transition should occur by entering the number of seconds in the Duration field.
  5. If you want to apply the same transition to all the other feedback layers for the current slide, click Apply to All.

Hiding Base Layer Objects

Want to hide base layer objects when the feedback layer displays? Easy. Here’s how:

  1. Select the feedback layer you want to edit and open the timeline if it's not already visible.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the timeline and click the triangle in front of Base Layer Objects. This reveals all the objects that are located on the base layer of the slide.
  3. Click the eye icon beside each object you want to hide.

Renaming Feedback Layers

To change the name of a feedback layer:

  1. Double click the name of a feedback layer to open it for editing.
  2. Type the new name.
  3. Press the Enter key on your keyboard to save the change.

Hiding and Unhiding Feedback Layers

By default, feedback layers are invisible while you're working with the base layer of your slide. They only become visible when you click them.

If you need to display more than one feedback layer at the same time (for example, you might need to align objects the same way on different layers), click the eye icon at the right end of each layer you want to show. Click the eye icon again to hide the layer.
