Have you ever wished you could easily turn that cool animation you built in Storyline into a video? Ever needed to post your course on YouTube? With the new “Publish to Video” feature in Storyline 360, you can! And it’s super-easy to do. Here’s how it works.

Step 1: Adapt Any Interactive Content

Since MP4 videos aren’t interactive, you’ll want to adapt any slides that require learners to click, drag, or interact in any way before you publish your project as a video.

For example, if your course starts out with a menu slide that allows learners to click on a button to skip to the lesson of their choice, you’ll need to change the settings of that slide so that it automatically advances through the course.

Or if you have a click-and-reveal interaction where more information appears when the learner clicks, you’ll want to change the triggers to show that information automatically after a certain amount of time, instead of when the learner clicks.

If you want to keep an interactive version of your course, simply duplicate your Storyline file and make the necessary changes in the duplicate version.

Step 2: Adjust Video Settings

Once you’ve adapted your course design for a video format, click on the Publish button on the Home tab and select Video to adjust the video settings. Here you can choose the size and quality of your video, normalize the audio, and decide whether the flow of your video is based on the Next button actions you’ve defined or on the default slide numbering.

Step 3: Publish Your Course

Now all that’s left to do is click on the Publish button, and you’re all set! In just a few clicks, you’ve turned your Storyline project into a video. Pretty cool!
