Create an Infographic: What Do You Love and Hate About E-Learning #103

Love and Hate E-Learning Infographic #103: Challenge | Recap

We recently surveyed 500+ people to find out what they really think about e-learning. We asked them why they’re taking online courses and to share their likes and dislikes. The survey results were used to build an infographic on what people love and hate about e-learning.

What Do Learners Have to Say About E-Learning?

What Do You Love & Hate About E-Learning?

The survey validated what many of us already know about learners and online courses. Things like course pacing (too fast or too slow), bullet lists (tedious and boring), and relevance were common frustrations.

Lists and Procedures are Boring!

But there were even a few surprises. For example, more than 50% of people said they took e-learning for personal growth. It’s encouraging to know that mandatory courses in work no longer make up the majority of e-learning.

E-Learning for Personal Growth

There’s a lot more great information in the infographic. Just about the only thing missing is an interactive version... And that’s what this week’s challenge is all about!

Challenge of the Week

This week, your challenge is to create an interactive graphic using the data from the What People Love & Hate About E-Learning infographic.

You don't need to rebuild the entire infographic. Just find one or two sections you like and redesign those as an interaction.

Welcome to the challenges, Jennifer! You're welcome to post whatever you like:-) Most people share a link to their published example. A good number of people will also share their source file to help other users learn more about the project. If you only post your source file, I'll publish the project and include a link on our servers. I did that with your example: http://elearning-examples.s3.amazonaws.com/Weekly-Challenge/102-LoveHateElearning/JenniferSader/story.html The benefit to sharing your published file is that everyone will be able to view your example. Some users view the challenges on mobile devices while others may not have Storyline or even Articulate software so there's no way for them to open the projects. But share whatever you like and we'll take care of the re... Expand
