In this tutorial we'll look at enhancing your Articulate Presenter presentation with content that comes from sources outside of Presenter including:

  • Quizmaker quizzes
  • Engage interactions
  • Video
  • Flash
  • Web objects

Watch this video first, then follow the steps below to practice.

Practice Activity

Here's a set of practice files for you to download.

For this activity we will add a few different types of content to our presentation including a Quizmaker quiz, an Engage interaction, video, Flash content and a web object.

Add Quizmaker quiz

  • Insert the provided quiz into your Presenter project. (Quizmaker_Final.quiz)
  • Explore the Quiz Properties settings to get familiar with how those work and how they allow you to control the functioning of the quiz within your presentation.

Add Engage interaction

  • Insert the provided interaction into your Presenter project. (Comstar Real Estate.intr)
  • Explore the Interaction Properties settings to get familiar with how control how the interaction appears in the menu and when users are allowed to leave the interaction.

Add video

  • Insert a new slide at the end of your PowerPoint presentation.
  • Insert the provided video. (womancoffee.mp4)
  • Display the video in the slide and set it to play automatically.
  • Select the option to Show video controls

Add presenter video

  • Insert the same video we used above as a Presenter video (womancoffee.mp4). This will be displayed in the Presenter panel when you preview or publish your project.

Add Flash

  • Insert a new slide at the end of your PowerPoint presentation.
  • Insert the provided Flash file. (email.swf)
  • Show the Flash object in the slide and set it to play automatically.

Add Web Object

  • Insert one more new slide at the end of your PowerPoint presentation.
  • Insert a local web object using the provided index.html file from the web object folder.
  • Re-size the web object so that it fills the entire slide.

These are some basic examples that have shown how easy it is to add other types of content to your Presenter projects.

In our next tutorial, we'll see how to create interactivity in Presenter.
