Articulate 360
57 TopicsBranching options for Continue blocks in RISE 360
I was working on a project this morning and needed to add a lesson which not all learners need to complete. Rather than dropping in at the end of the course, I've used a button to branch to the lesson I need. This is inconsistent with the rest of the course (not a major irritant to the learner but to the author!) for progressing through so I wondered if Articulate have considered branching options for continue blocks rather than just moving onto the next lesson. I'm also curious to hear if anyone else has a solution to this other than building a block in Storyline.32Views1like1CommentCharacters Modification
Dear Team, First of all, thank you again for all your efforts and support to make the storyline better version. I would like to request one thing if you guys can work on that. Please update or add more characters in the storyline and add more gesture with the products which they are handling like tab, file or whatever it is. So that we can use it more wisely and without any hassle. Also, if possible, can you guys add a feature to reduce noise in audio edit option. Thanks, in advance.14Views0likes1CommentControl RISE entrance bloc animations
Hello Articulate team, Thank you for making such a user-friendly product and updating often to conform to accessibility. More specifically, thank you for listening to your clients and users when we have ideas/issues. (I'm sure you saw this coming!) My name is Emmy and my amazing team at eConcordia designs eLearning modules using RISE and Storyline for thousands of higher education students. We noticed an accessibility concern with the animation style in the bloc-entrance feature, so we wanted to bring it to your attention. Many of the images that appear slide in from either left or right. This can cause motion-sickness in learners, also referred to as cybersickness, and cause fatigue, nausea, and headaches. Is it possible to revise the options in the bloc-entrance animations so that we can have only fade-ins, or so that we can control slightly the way things animate-in? We want to keep the animation feature but have an improved, more accessible version. Here are a few articles that support the notion that motion-sickness can be caused by certain animation styles: Applying Navigability & Accessibility to a Self-Coded Digital Interactive Portfolio https://soar.suny.edu/handle/20.500.12648/10433 Giving a Great Lecture: Going from Fine to Fantastic https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-3-03041780-2_3 Your Interactive Makes Me Sick https://source.opennews.org/articles/motion-sick/ Cybersickness: What It Is, Symptoms, Causes, and Treatments https://www.healthline.com/health/cybersickness Thank you so much, we are hoping to hear from you soon.15Views0likes1CommentStoryline 360: Quick Access Object Transparency Controls
Primarily for images and other imported graphics. On the Picture tab, where there are options to alter the color, brightness, or contrast, there could easily be a control for adjusting the transparency of the object so we don't have to constantly right click and select "Format Shape" just to make an image more see-thru. This could then be extended to shapes, icons, markers, etc. so it's easier to adjust transparency without having to format the shape or adjust the fill color's transparency manually.3Views0likes0CommentsHaving a "trainer mode" in Preview
Hi Community! My team and I are working with Storyline since last year. We often come to a point where just a few triggers (or even only one) are not working as expected and here comes the problem: when setting up/changing a trigger we always have to preview the entire project to analyze if it's working as desired. Our courses tend to be very long, so previewing a course with having next disabled until users clicked everywhere next disabled until timeline ends only possible to move on when actions completed / statuses are visited ... can take up to 30 mins each time!! And this list could be longer, if you know you know ;) So: it would be more than awesome if something like a preview mode exists, where all of the mentioned restrictions could be toggled off for testing certain triggers. I hope I was able to bring my thoughts to an understandable point as English is not my 1st language. Thanks for reading and the opportunity to bring such discussions up. Hello everyone, We had a webinar from a European reseller today regarding the EU AI Act which is now being rolled out gradually in the EU. Among other things, it was also about the fact that we as e-learning designers will be obliged in future to label any content we have created with AI. My consideration for the optimization of Articulate would be that there is an automatic label that when the AI Assistant has been used, an automatic indication is made by e.g. Articulate Rise in e-learning that content has been created with it. That would be really helpful for European users. Perhaps you could pass this on to your development team. Perhaps in the options “Would you like to indicate that content was created with AI YES/NO. It's not quite sure yet whether an overarching label for the course as a whole is sufficient or whether each block created with AI needs to be labeled. But an overarching label would be helpful from my opion in the frist place. Best regards.13Views1like0Comments
