Have you ever wanted to track a user's progress with badges? For example, this might be done to track correct answers as a user moves through a quiz. Or whenever a user completes designated milestones in a course. When the badges need to be seen across multiple slides, you can put them on the Master Slide or whichever master layout the slides will use. Then, using variables and conditional triggers, you can control the badges as needed. The attached file demonstrates how to do this when tracking a quiz. It also includes details about the programming, plus links to additional resources. You can see it in action here: https://360.articulate.com/review/content/df33fd8a-00e1-4718-a172-90804ccc647b/review 🏆148Views1like4CommentsCorrupted Unreadable Imported Assets
I copied slides from one storyline file into another. The file that received the slides was working fine, until I opened it back up the next day and got this error message. Every pasted image and audio asset from the old storyline file was now "unreadable" in the new storyline file. It looked like this: I deleted the corrupted assets and tried to paste them back in, but they would still paste in as corrupted. I had to deleted all the corrupted assets, save and close the file, then reopen it and copy and paste each individual asset back in. This seems to work, but I'm worried it will corrupt again in the future. Any ideas on what caused this issue?Solved211Views0likes4CommentsCompletion, satisfaction and score in LMS.
Hi. In my course, the user passes the final quizz (the Results slides opens the Approved layer, etc). In this layer there´s a button leading to the closing slide, which has a trigger "When timeline starts, complete course". I´ve tried both Complete/Passed and Incomplete/failed, but ScormCloud reports this. Satisfaction should say Passed, as logic says! What settings do I need? Or which trigger? Other settings in my file are the following (sorry it´s in Spanish): I'm going crazy. There are many settings and options. What´s the combination that gives me the report I need? Is it a Scorm2004 issue? (That´s the standard my client wants). Thanks (this is the least enjoyable part of creating a course. In other aspects, using Storyline is a pleasure)11Views0likes0CommentsDelay Visited State to show star icon + 1
Hi everyone! I am looking for a way to solve this issue in Storyline: I have to delay 2 seconds for the learner to see the star as the visited state of a button. I know an alternative solution is to create another state called completed but the triggers do not fire once I create it as part of a conditional variable: The learner can only see the completed state once getting to the correct layer in the next slide. The link to see the issue is here: Challenge I'd love to read your comments or insights on how to solve this, thank you.28Views0likes2CommentsFlashcard mismatched size
I'm using Flashcards for the first time. I have 2 cards, each has a picture that's 430x429 for front and back. I notice that when I flip to the back, the images are larger than viewing the fronts. I've tried Fullcard vs Centered Image. I've tried Grid vs Stack. I've tried reversing which images are front vs back. The back is larger every time. Is this normal behaviour or a glitch?27Views0likes2CommentsCorrupted triggers?
I've spent about 2-2.5 weeks working on this Storyline course. It's all storyboarded out, literally everything is good to go. We were out for snow recently so I spent DAYS working on this. Then, all of my button/icon/image triggers were all fine. I came to work on it today after about a week's break and realize this new issue. For example, I have 3 buttons on a slide. Each button goes to a different new slide for branching feedback. I can select button 1, set its trigger. Select button 2, and Storyline will jump back to the first button and select it and its trigger. So I end up with the trigger destinations being the same for both buttons. I have tried... deleting them and rebuilding them from scratch, no copying and pasting locking/unlocking them in the timeline as I set triggers letting it set its own triggers and then setting mine and then going back to delete the ones I don't want making a "test" slide with "test buttons" - same result going back to inspect my old buttons from my first few slides - it's infected them too I've been running through the issue with ChatGPT and Gemini and both say that the file is corrupted and I need to start over. I still have over a month left on my trial but that makes me feel infuriated. I have a ticket into Articulate but I don't foresee them helping. Is there anything I can do to save this? I thought the issue was duplicating slides but it goes all the way back to my original first slides that I haven't touched in weeks.88Views0likes12CommentsLearners Getting Stuck in Articulate Courses (in LearnUpon LMS)
Hi everyone! 👋 For the past 6 months or so, we’ve noticed more and more learners randomly getting stuck in our Rise and Storyline courses, all imported into LearnUpon via xAPI. There seems to be no pattern to it: learners get stuck in different courses, at different progress points. Re-exporting then re-importing the xAPI file doesn’t solve the problem, nor does adjusting settings in either the LMS or Storyline/Rise. We are using very basic formatting in Rise and Storyline so there shouldn’t be any issues there. I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue with increasing frequency lately? We are up to at least 1-2 learners per week getting stuck for no discernible reason. We have to log into the LMS and pass them. We're trying to discern if this is an LMS issue or an Articulate issue. (We’ve also experienced other issues, like elements in a Rise course randomly not appearing until the learner hits “refresh,” but this is a question for another day.) Thanks! Hello all I am building a course that contains two scenes, each designed for learners based on their level of expertise (for example, Junior and Senior). At the start of the course, learners are prompted to choose their path. Based on their selection, they are directed to the relevant scene to learn more about their role. Each scene includes knowledge-check questions after smaller topics. The Junior path contains 7 questions, while the Senior path contains 6 questions. My goal is to: Track learner responses at the question level (correct / incorrect), and Track course completion at the same time. I’ve tried multiple approaches so far: Using one single Results Slide to track both branches, which did not work as expected Using two separate Results Slides (one per scene) and tracking the course, but the LMS reports the status as “Not Evaluated” Adding a completion trigger on the acknowledgement slide, which also did not resolve the issue I would really appreciate any guidance on the best practice for tracking quizzes and completion in a branching, role-based course like this.8Views0likes2CommentsIssue with trigger changing the state of a button to allow learner to take quiz--Storyline
Hello, all! I am having a problem with a button not changing from "disabled" to "normal" when all of the required buttons are clicked. I have a "topics" slide (1.7) with 6 buttons/topics that take the learner to each corresponding section where they view content and do activities/knowledge checks. In the middle of the slide is a "final quiz" button that defaults to "disabled" and is supposed to change to "normal" after the 6 topic buttons are clicked. I'm using "T/F" variables for each button, and once the last topic button is pressed and all 6 variables are "True" the quiz button is supposed to change to "Normal," appear transparent, and be clickable to take the learner to the quiz slide. I've uploaded the file and am hoping I can get some help. Thank you all in advance! Chris25Views0likes3Comments
