Why does the course language label change to English after copying a course?
Hello heroes, we often copy existing courses in Rise and use them as a base for building new ones, updates or different versions. Most of our courses are in German and we give them the German label in the settings. But every time we make a copy of a course with a German label, it reverts back to English. This is kind of annoying, because we tend to forget this happens, and then users complain that there is "Please answer the question to continue" instead of "Damit es weitergehen kann, müssen Sie die Frage beantworten." (Because why would a copy of a german course suddenly have an english language flag?) Only the course owner can change this setting and that is not always the one who is currently working on that course (/working at same time as the one working on the course). My question: Is there a way to fix this? Like a setting that allows copied courses to keep their original language label? Or a way to give course Managers the rights to change language labels?Error while uploading SCORM file with translation to the LMS
I translated a course into 3 other languages using Storyline360. While uploading the translated SCORM files to the LMS, I am encountering an error with the error codes 43073 and 43269. It is a single file with 3 different languages. I used the same file and exported each language separately. The course has unique LMS Course Information identifier. Has anyone encountered this issue before? I have raised a case with Articulate and waiting for a response.How can we make Rise localization scalable?
As a global SaaS company, we must provide our customers with rapidly changing content in multiple languages. Our help center and video distribution platforms already support this at scale. Business departments also demand the localization of e-learning modules. However, with a cost of $185-$500 per translation in Rise (😱😱😱) and AI growing ability to replace authoring tools, our management is pushing to cancel our Rise subscription altogether 😢. Hello! I'm looking for best practices for when a Rise course is localized and text boxes inside custom blocks need to be resized. My options seem to be limited to: Resize text in translated version to fit "English-sized" text box. Resize English version text box to accommodate any/all translated languages. I’m trying to use the AI Tutor in the Rise360 courses developed by my team. All of our courses are originally created in Italian, but the option to localize the AI Tutor through the setup Labels is limited to only 4 entries, which is clearly insufficient. The XLIFF file does not contain any additional AI Tutor strings, and the only way to localize the chat into Italian — which is essential for our end users — is to use the paid localization feature available. However, since all our courses are already in Italian, we would have to pay for localization for every course without actually translating any content, except for the few chat interface phrases. This does not seem reasonable. Why is it not possible to localize the interface beyond just a handful of entries (which at that point become almost irrelevant)?Storyline 360 Multi language timelines changing on publish
Hi, Running the latest (May 12/2026) version of Storyline, but this was happening prior to that as well. I have an English file I've translated to Spanish. So 2 languages. I adjust the timelines per language so that the timelines end at the end of the audio track thus giving the user an accurate seekbar based on language. This used to be just fine a couple months ago. Now, if I publish, it extends the English (shorter) timeline to be the same length as the Spanish thus leaving "dead air" at the end of the English timeline. This only happens if I publish. I’m facing an issue with the Word export for localization where a single sentence gets split into multiple cells. For example: "Click Start to begin." is exported as: Click Start to begin. This creates challenges for translators due to loss of context, leading to incorrect meaning. It also makes validation difficult, as reviewers must reconstruct the sentence. I created a new Storyline project last week and saved it. I've tried opening it now and it comes up with a pop up saying I need Articulate Localization open it. I didn't use Articulate Localization to create it so I'm not sure why it's asking this. When I click 'save languages as projects' it asks me to select a folder. Then it just opens the folder with nothing new in it. When I click 'cancel' it does nothing. I can't open the project at all. Has anyone else had this issue?
