About
Sarah Newman
I am a mid-level instructional designer originally from Lexington, Ky, now living in Madison, WI. Growing up, I always knew that I wanted to teach people, and I have been fortunate enough to stumble my way into the expanding field of instructional design - a field I have fallen in love with. For me, instructional design started as just a job, my first position straight out of graduate school. I was hired by a company in Northern Virginia - PerformTech Inc - that was searching for creative humanities majors on the job pages of Craigslist. At PT, I was able to work with some fantastic senior ISDs and really learn the field. After moving to Wisconsin for my fiance's PhD, I was hired by Springs Window Fashions as the company's only eLearning Instructional Designer. I hope to really grow in this role and take on more of my own graphics and authoring work. My fiance and I have 6 pets, are addicted to nerdy games of all kinds, and are getting married on 7-9-11. :) -
