Current job: Develop models, simulations and curricula, with a focus on using eD-H, (the facility's electronic health record) during simulation training and educational events. Integrate eD-H into curriculum and simulation-based training to improve clinicans practice, workflows and communication. Upgrade and maintain the training environment used exclusively in the PSTC. Involved in institutional quality improvement programs including research and quality projects. Co-Presenter at the HPSN World 2013 Conference; 'Suspending Disbelief in Simulation:It Doesn't Have to be a Pain in the Production' and 'The ePatient Component: How Valuable is it to Your Learners?' Epic certified in Inpatient Procedure Orders and Hospital Outpatient Department. Completed Epic Training Environment Development (TED) course. Involved in DHMC enterprise-wide Ambulatory and Inpatient multi-application implementation in April 2011. Principal Trainer for Inpatient Providers (Attendings, Mid-Levels, Fellows, Residents, Medical Students). Developed a merged Ambulatory/Inpatient Provider curriculum that was used for training end users prior to go-live in addition to developing the curriculum, educational materials and training for Respiratory Therapists, Radiology Technicians, Patient Care Technicians and Research Coordinators. Involved in New Hire Provider training (post go-live), Master Training Environment build and maintainance, at-elbow support, Efficiency Express visits, phone triage support, development of Targeted Support Packages and Tip & Tricks reference documents. RN with previous predominant bedside clinical practice in Adult Critical Care, including positions in education and management. Most recent DHMC work experience in Adult Inpatient Medical/Surgical Hematology/Oncology including bedside nursing, charge nurse, education and research/audit projects. Co-author Putting Evidence Into Practice (PEP) "Prevention and Management of Bleeding in Patients with Cancer", Clinical Journal of Oncology, Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), October 2009 and separate ONS PEP Card. -
