Take Localization from a Chore to a Few Clicks with Articulate 360

Are you sick of spending weeks juggling project files, coordinating translators, and following up with language validators? We hear you. That’s why we created Articulate Localization

With Articulate Localization, you can translate, validate, and manage training for your global team without leaving Articulate 360.

Watch the video below to learn how to localize courses up to three times faster with the fully integrated features in Articulate 360. Then, dig into the details further down.

Translate courses in seconds with AI

No need to export a translation file, send it to translators, and import it back into your course. With Articulate Localization, you can translate training into 70+ languages instantly—directly in Rise and Storyline

Here’s how it works:

  1. Hover over the course in your Articulate 360 dashboard, select the three dots, and hit Translate.
  2. Confirm your current course language, and then select the language(s) you want to translate it into.
  3. Select Translate.

It’s that easy! And if you need to ensure that specific words and phrases are translated the same way every time—across your entire subscription, simply upload a glossary before you hit translate.

Support content in right-to-left languages, easily

Translating into right-to-left languages like Arabic, Hebrew, or Farsi? Good news! With Articulate Localization, it’s easy to adapt course layouts to provide a tailored right-to-left learning experience.

For Rise courses, you don’t even have to lift a finger! When you translate and publish into these languages, the layout automatically adapts to a right-to-left orientation as described here: Rise 360 Right-to-Left Support.

And it's super easy in Storyline, too. When you translate into a right-to-left language, Storyline automatically reverses the text alignment. From there, you can easily switch the sidebar position, the direction of the player text, and more by following these simple instructions: Storyline 360 Right-to-Left Support

Validate translation faster with in-context reviews

Say goodbye to endless feedback loops by giving language validators the power to view and edit translations in the context of your course—while you stay in control of final approval.

Once your course is translated, simply publish it to Review and request a review using your validator’s email address to get started. They don’t even need a subscription!

Your validator will receive an email with a link to view and edit your translated course, directly in their browser. Because they can compare the translation to the original text and see their edits in real time, it’s easy to make sure nothing gets lost in translation.

When they’re done editing, you can review and import their edits individually or all at once. Either way, there’s no more copying and pasting. No more wasted time. No more room for error. Just high-quality translations, fast.

Streamline your entire workflow with multi-language courses

Stop juggling countless course versions. With Articulate Localization, you can view, manage, and publish just one course—no matter how many languages are available.

And when you’re ready to share your course with learners, Articulate Localization makes that easy, too. In just a few clicks, you can publish, share, and track activity for every language with a single Rise or Storyline course using Reach—our integrated LMS.

Of course, if you want to share your course with another LMS, don’t worry! You can do that, too.

    Hi,

Thanks for sharing this, it is very insightful.

I would like to ask if Articulate localisation is only available for accounts upgraded to the AI version or is it available to every Articulate user?

    Thanks

Great feature! It works really nice. :) However, on the smartphone, the text for the language selection runs out of space and does not seem to adapt responsively. The same applies to the selection dropdown.

Is it possible to save the selection so that it is remembered when the course is called up again and the language does not have to be redefined each time? Perhaps a button could be added to the side menu where users can change the language again later if necessary.

  • Danke für dieses Update. Bleiben die Texte bei Articulate im System oder werden die an einen Provider übermittelt, dort via KI Technologie übersetzt und dann wieder eingespeisten? Wie läuft das ab?

  • Hi oyin!

    Thanks for the feedback!

Articulate Localization is a completely separate add-on feature, from AI Assistant. No prerequisites are required to purchase Articulate Localization, and if you're interested in exploring the tool, please connect with our sales team, here.

Have a great rest of your week!

  • Hi MaRe!

    Happy to help!

When testing a Rise 360 preview link on an iPhone, the language selection screen adapted responsively, as expected for me.

Do you mind sharing more details on the device you are using? Also, does this issue occur across all courses that are viewed on a mobile device, or just one specifically?

To your second question, published Articulate courses take advantage of a bookmarking/suspended-data feature, designed to resume learners at the exact Slide, or Lesson where they last left off. When resuming a course, the language selection process shouldn't need to occur again, unless the learner were intentionally restarting the course.

However, if you were looking to change a language after the bookmarking event has occurred, that would fall outside of the current design and not yet be supported by the tool.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
