Security Level for Tests

Jan 14, 2014

Is this tool confidential; e.g. if I were to create a test used for certifications, would anyone other than the persons I selet be able to view the test.  Could this test be compromised...

Hi Kimberly and welcome to the community!

Great question :)

Actually, this depends on where the content is hosted and how learners are given access.

For example, if your LMS requires that learners log in to take the course, the course is pretty secure. Only learners that have access to an account or login details will be able to access the project.

Now, on the other hand, if your content does not require a login, anyone would be able to view it and take the course if they have access to the URL for the project.

Take Articulate Online for another example - there are a couple of ways that learners can access content with this service. The content can be set up as "Public", meaning anyone with a URL for that project can see it. Or, you can set it to "Private". This means that only those with the URL and login details would be able to see and complete the course.

So, again, it really just comes down to how it's being shared and what type of sharing options you have access to with your current web or LMS server.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks and welcome again!
