Audio on multiple layers, and using a toggle on/off button

Dec 30, 2020

Hopefully  someone can help,

I've looked for something similar in the community and not finding this exact issue.

I have a toggle button (audio icon) on the slide master.  then use triggers to turn audio on/off if the user does not want to listen to the narration.

On some of my slides I have multiple slide layers, with audio narration on each.

I can't seem to get the audio to play only the audio for that layer. it will play the base layer and slide layer's audio when I click the toggle button again.

Do I need to create a  different audio variable T/F for the slide layers?

Hello Redwood Developer!

You're correct; that article doesn't include information on if there are multiple layers. I'd like to have our Support Engineers take a look at your course, so I've opened a case on your behalf. You should see an upload link where you can share your .story file with us.

You'll hear from our team shortly!

Hello Sharon!

Yes! You could include a trigger that calls on a variable to determine if and when the audio should play. Is it possible that you could share the slide with us so we can offer specific steps on how to create this type of trigger?

You can attach it to this discussion or privately in a support case.
