Storyline 360 - Audio slide gets muted

May 01, 2024

I got 5 slides - 1 contains a video and 1 contains audio narrations, 2 contains static slides.

On the first slide - I muted the video and let it completed, then jumped on the next slide.

The 2nd slide's volume got affected and so i couldnt hear the audio narration. I  disabled the audio icon from "my players" setting because i dont see the importance showing it to other 2 static slides.

Is there an update fix for this bug? i dont think the audio volume control of the video player should affect the audio volume of the next slides as they should be independent controls. Please help.

Hi Gene,

Thanks for reaching out!

I wanted to clarify that this behavior isn't a bug but rather the expected behavior of the video volume control. The volume controller in videos is an extension of the Player volume control. One of its key functionalities is to give learners the option to adjust the video volume when there isn't a volume control on the course player.

I understand you'd like the video volume control to behave separately. This sounds like a great feature to share with our product team, and I recommend creating a feature request for it!
