Base layer character appears in layer
Mar 26, 2013
I am having trouble with the "ghost" of a base layer character appearing on my layer slides.
- In the timeline for each layer I have the "closed eye" selected so that the base layer character should not appear on the layer. However, when I preview the slide the character is still appearing in the background.
- Even if I select "hide all object on base layer" I am still having this problem.
Here is the Base layer. The user clicks on a character to show other layers.
And here is one of the layers. It looks like the character has 4 arms because the character on the main slide is still showing behind her.
Same thing happens with my other layers (see the feet showing under the text box)
Any help on how to fix this is much appreciated.

Welcome to the community, Dawn!
Any chance you'd be able to share your .story file here, or send it to us privately, so we can take a look at what's going on?
Thanks!
I will send the file. Thanks!
Thanks, Anne!
Hi guys, was there a resolution to this issue? I'm having a similar problem with a base layer character.
Thank you.
Welcome to E-Learning Heroes, Lorraine!
I was able to find Anne's support case and it looks like adjusting the triggers for the character solved the problem for her.
Are you able to share the .STORY file for your project? I'd be happy to take a look and see what's going on.
Thanks!
