Is there a way to uninstall update 3 and go back to previous version? I'm at my wit's end trying to correct various button and player navigation issues. None of which I don't think existed before I updated.
Can you give us an idea of what issues you're running into with the buttons and player navigation? If it's an issue with the new update, and we don't have it documented, we may need to find out what's happening.
Hello. Several of my main navigation slides seem stuck in a continuous loop. One keeps automatically jumping back to the previous slide. Even after deleting and recreating the problem slide it keeps happening. In production, it crashes the Flash player (version11.7.700.202).
Also, the standard built in button that I am using for simple slide jumps will not jump to the slide I specify. It keeps jumping back to one of my main navigation slides. I have tried deleting the button completely and inserting a new one, but it does the same thing.
Before spending any more time troubleshooting and/or rebuilding from scratch, I'd like to rule out that it is not a Storyline version issue, as opposed to corruption issues on my end. The trouble did seem to start after I installed the new version.
Thanks for the information. To be honest, that behavior does sound like a corruption issue, but without testing it, it's hard to say.
First, and this should be fairly quick, you might want to try importing the project into a new file. You won't need to rebuild anything, so hopefully this will work for you and save you some time.
Create a new, blank Storyline file and import the slides from the existing project into the new file. Does the same thing happen?
Hopefully that will do the trick. If not, please go ahead and contact our support team. They'll be able to give you instructions for removing Update 3.
Please be sure to include a description of your issue. Please also include the URL for this thread in the form. Also, please share the case number with me. You're welcome to do so here, or in a private message. This way I can follow the progress of the case and update this thread.
Hopefully we'll have this all cleared up for you quickly.

Well Christine, you made me one happy cat. Importing into new project did the trick. I can now move on to more important things...
