Defocusing of Video Capture screens with hotspots

May 18, 2017

Hi all,

In the authoring system, when I am editing a screen capture scene and click a screen in the the Scene editor, the screen shows up in sharp definition for only a split second, then quickly and slightly blurs. The blurred image is what shows up in the final playback.

Is there a setting I can use to stop the blurring?

Thanks,

Robert

Hello Robert! Sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulty.

Just a few questions to clarify:

  • What version of Storyline you are utilizing?
  • How are you inserting the screen recording? Step-by-Step Slides? Is this View, Try, or Test mode?

We do have some tips here on best practices for quality.

If you have a .story file you'd like us to take a peek at, you are welcome to share here.

Hi Leslie,

Thanks for your reply.

I'm using Storyline 360, and "Try".

I've made a two-slide selection from my course that I can upload, but it is large, and I can't include it as an email attachment. Do you have a link that I can use to upload it for you?

Thanks again,

Robert
