Feedback in quiz not ADA compliant???

I'm still on the trial and trying to learn how to make interactives that are accessible to screen readers and keyboard users. The job I'm working on will require it and I'm hoping to talk them into buying Storyline to redo all the eCourses I'm tasked with working on.
So, I found a really cool model for drag and drop in the eLearning Challenge the other day. Thierry Emanuel made available a multiple response drag and drop that uses motion paths so keyboard only users can select and the item will flow to where it belongs in the drop zone. Of course, mousers can drag and drop with the same result.
I've been testing it as I go with the keyboard. But just now I tested it with the screen reader NVDA. The feedback layer is not read by the screen reader! What a huge oversight for ADA users.
I'm also bothered that I cannot really edit the feedback layers. I'd love to ditch the default check mark and x mark with the ones we have decided on in our style guide.
Is there a way around this? I mean, in theory you use the quiz making functionality to make it easier. But if it will not give feedback through a screen reader, one may as well build the interactivity from scratch. In fact, I guess one would have to! Just looked again and it doesn't even read the continue button. Surely, I'm missing something.
And yes, I know I can use the results slide. That seems redundant if I have a feedback layer.

I'm not seeing other users report issues of feedback layers not being read by screen readers and not being editable, so it looks like the behavior is specific to your file.
I did a quick test on my end using NVDA, and I can confirm that the screen reader was able to read the feedback layer of a drag and drop interaction. I was also able to make changes to it as well. Here's the link that I used for testing.
One thing you can check is to make sure that your feedback layers are present in the slide's focus order, similar to what is shown here:

If your course continues to experience issues after checking the focus order, would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a closer look at what's happening? We'll delete it when we're done testing!

I do have the layers in the focus order. At least that is how it looks to me.
And honestly, you're test, I'm not sure where I to drop the Hello and the World so I never got to the feedback.
I just went through mine again and the layer does not read. When I tab and select the continue button, it takes me to a results slide and that slide would not read either.
Any guidance you can give me would be appreciated.
I have a lot of experimenting going on this this project but the scene we are discussing now is called "scratch".
Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Thanks for sharing a copy of your project file.
I took a look at it and saw that the reason why only the 'Continue' button is being read on your feedback layers is because this is the only that that is defined in the focus order for both the correct and incorrect layers.
You'll need to click on the Green plus sign in the lower left corner to add more items to the focus order if you'd like more objects to be detected for your feedback layers.
I'm also able to edit your feedback layers without any issues on my end.
If you are unable to perform any changes to your feedback layers, try doing a repair of your Storyline 360 installation to see if this helps. If the issue persists, open a case with our support team here for further troubleshooting.

I have followed your guidance but I'm still not getting the Correct! Good Job spoken aloud.
Another issue has developed.
The tab order, when I submit the answers and the feedback shows (I altered them significantly once I found the feedback masters)...
I tab to submit, select submit by hitting enter or the spacebar. The focus order remains on submit. And when I tab further, it goes through the retry button on the base layer before it gets to the continue button. I can tab through all the unseen buttons under the feedback layer without ever hearing Good Job! Focus never gets to the words. I've rearranged the order but haven't found one that gets the reader to read out anything but the buttons on the feedback slide.
I'm reattaching since I've fiddled with it some.
I'd be delighted to join any learning experience.

I feel certain the organization will go with Articulate if I can demonstrate ADA compliance with certain interactivities.
I will be writing a proposal to this effect once I've resolved my issues.
