I have built a progress meter that is working... but I would like a state of a button to change once it reaches 100%. I programmed it as shown here, but it does not change when the variables reaches 100. Any tips, please?
Because basic_progress is changed on slides in Scene 2, the change is not announced to Slide 1.1 (Menu). The menu never knows when basic_progress changes. Change the Menu slide to Reset to Initial value when revisited, and change the trigger to read when timeline starts on this slide.
Caveat: If the slide does not reset to initial value, the timeline will not start, but if it does reset, any previous state changes are lost (if you are using states).
ugh-yes, I am using state changes. I think I need to start from scratch with building the progress aspect of the course. luckily, you can do that aspect after the bulk is completed. I am sure I am overthinking it. Open to suggestions. I will keep at it. I appreciate the help.

If this trigger is not on the same slide that changes basic_progress, it cannot hear the variable change.
If that's not the problem, attach your .story file here, and someone can look for the problem.

OK, I stripped the file of the content. Here it is.

There is a menu and navigation sample at this discussion: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/free-sample-restricted-and-free-random-navigation-using-variables-and-triggers
It shows how you can use variables to reset states when the timeline is reset.
