Since the recent updates of Storyline 360, the hover states and visited states of my images turn to 'no fill'/blank. I have tried reimporting them and trying other images, but nothing seems to work.
Seems this only impacts Picture Outline on hover. Shadow or additional shapes in hover state do not impact it.
Is anyone else having the same issues?
Can someone please investigate this?
Current workaround is to apply a coloured shadow instead of hover picture outline.
Thanks for sending in a case, Chris. I see my colleague Abel was assigned too it, and he'll be in touch soon!
Bart, if you'd also like to share your .story file with us - we'd like to test it out! You can upload here or send along to our Support Engineers here.
Same for me since the last update, have a drag and drop, when the user hovers over the image to drop it goes blank. This is impacting on our training to employees.
Is it me or has there been several bugs occurring over the last few updates to 360?
I was able to replicate the issue and I have logged it as a possible software bug.
The issue appears to be caused by adding lines to the states of the picture/object. As a workaround, I would suggest not to use lines with your states.
The workaround is no option for us, there are a lot of these interactions in our courses.
As a temp measure I have removed all the states (Hover/correct/incorrect) and just left normal state. Whilst this is not ideal it has stopped the images going blank and is a workaround we can manage hopefully for the short term.
I have the same problem. In several projects with hover states and an outline around a picture, the picture in the normal state disappears after mouse has hovered. This is really bad :-(
If I remove line it works. The same problem with both outline, outline picture and changing frame for a picture... This must be fixed asap!

Mikael, I agree, this bug stops our entire production process. Please aloso report it to Articulate Support
Really sorry for all of the headaches this issue is causing you! I wanted to confirm that we are seeing a problem in Storyline 360 where states are not working correctly if the states include a solid outline.
This issue is a priority for us, and we're working on a fix as we speak. As soon as that fix is released, we'll let you know here.
Some folks have found that adding a shadow effect in addition to the solid outline will correct the issue, so you may want to try that workaround in the meantime.
For the time being I have updated my current story files to be a Shadow with a 0% transparency of the same colour as the outline was supposed to be. It does not exactly look like it did before - i.e. blur/fade impact, but it closely resembles it (can adjust blur settings to remove this).
I recommend doing this if it is halting or causing a large backlog of work for you.
Note: if you are using more than 2px for an outline, just increase the size of the shadow and remove blur.
Hopefully Team Articulate will find the solution soon and we should not need to do this work around for too long.
Hope that helps for all those following this post.
Here’s how you can update Storyline 360 to take advantage of everything the latest release has to offer. Let me know if you have any questions about that!

Hi David,
Several people were having issues with the update from Jan 31.
Have you tried installing the latest, latest update? https://articulate.com/support/article/Articulate-Storyline-360-Version-History
I was having issues with my states too, so did a system restore to a previous version and that worked. I have not yet updated to today's version.
have the same problem. I am waiting for the next update because the last update still has the problem. Hopefully it will come soon.
Hi Hans,
Looks like you've reached out directly to our support team.
You should be hearing from someone soon.
David/Veronica - I'm going to add this thread to the report so that we can track user impact and update you here when we can.
Thank you Leslie.
I have the same problem.
Currently trying to publish latest version of our projects. Storyline 360 is up to date, and I'm experiencing the exact same problem.

Hi Ashley,
Abel contacted me (the case number is #01252419). I hope this can be fixed soon, because we cannot publish our trainings now.

The qeue of projects to be published is getting longer and longer. Is there already a chance for a real solution?

This seems to be fixed in the update that has just been sent out.
Version History has yet to be updated. So cannot provide the link as of yet.
Thank you Team Articulate :)
You're right, David! We just released another update for Storyline 360 that includes a fix for the problem where states didn't work correctly if they had a solid outline.

Problem is solved!
Thanks for confirming Chris :)
