We are also having an issue where although the "dim non-selected layers" checkbox is selected, it shows the main interaction layer dimmed/greyed out in Edit Mode but in full color when previewed/played/published. We want the main layer dimmed when a learner clicks on one of the additional layers.
Hi Jennifer! In Edit mode the base layer dims to indicate that it is not the active layer. You can add a semi-transparent shape behind each layer accomplish a similar effect when viewing.
I've attached an example. Would something like that work for you?
