Am I missing something? I can't figure out how to insert clipart into Storyline and am having to construct things in PPT and then save as a picture. Is there a better way?
I insert clipart under the "Insert" tab - I click "Picture" and navigate to the file. You can also just open the clipart image and drag it into Storyline.
If you are using Microsoft Clipart, you should be able to paste into a PowerPoint and then copy and paste into Storyline.
Storyline does not come with any clipart (except for the Characters). So you either have to use other sources, or create your own with Storyline's drawing tools.
If from Microsoft, I'll usually also create a PowerPoint to accompany my Storyline file, especially if I manipulate the Microsoft clipart some in PowerPoint before bringing into Storyline. Nice sometimes to have a separate clipart file for archival purposes.
And I'll usually export out from PowerPoint as aPNG and then insert into Storyline. If I have to correct or swap out the graphic it's always easy then to use the "Change Picture" feature in Storyline.
Thanks, Jill and Gerry. I've been using the methods you both suggest but it's a bit annoying. I like to deconstruct clipart images and reconfigure them, and it's just a hassle to have to do it in PowerPoint, save it as a picture and then insert it into Storyline. I'm also finding it very fiddly to construct animations, especially since there's no motion paths and emphasis on the animation tab.

Yep, your request for motion paths joins a multitude already submitted. I'm betting that we'll get it before too terribly long. It's probably the most often-requested feature.

Hope this works for you!

Did that help any?

I'd be sure to put you needs in feature requests for Articulate's consideration: http://www.articulate.com/support/contact/submit.php?form=feature
More animations was a popular request during the beta. The more voices, the better.
Thanks, Gerry. Have submitted both inserting clipart and having motion paths.
