Resume function bug

Apr 28, 2022

While testing in another LMS, it was discovered that once a learner reached a point in the course, they were no longer able to resume automatically and instead were brought back to the beginning of the course, with none of their progress saved.

A little research on this forum points to the suspend_data string. The number one suggestion was to try SCORM 2004 for the larger allowable characters for this string, but the LMS that the course is being delivered is SCORM 1.2. So, I may be at a loss there.

My greater confusion is when testing in SCORM Cloud, I did not run into this issue. I could finish the entire course and resume at any point without any data loss. I have selected SCORM 1.2 in SCORM Cloud to mirror the environment it will be operating in. Meaning the difference has to be something within LMS? Wouldn't both of these environments allow the same limits on the suspend_data?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Correction, my course is published in SCORM 1.2, not that I selected 1.2 in SCORM Cloud.

Update: I was able to get the debug logs from within the LMS. Is anyone out there able to help me decipher where the course is going awry?
