storyline is so far behind captivate with this which is a pity as storylines 360set up is less clunky. I think they are missing a trick by not pushing for more VR functionality, i or one will have to purchase captivate now for this.
Yes I agree, Immersive learning is now the way forward and storyline is lagging behind in it. I have been waiting for VR in storyline for almost 2 years now but it seems there is nothing concrete coming up in this arena. I will have to get captivate or another one I saw cenariovr which seems promising with visual interface and options to publish on oculus and other vr devices.
I'd also strongly suggest that Articulate enhance the current functionality to allow for simple knowledge checks and quizzes. It's great fun to explore a scene, but we also want to be able to test knowledge.
It's not too difficult to build a knowledge check or quiz interaction currently, but variables, triggers and workarounds are required. It would be great to simplify and support this use-case.
I agree that publish to VR should be supported. AR support would really differentiate Storyline.
I see that in addition to Captivate, Lectora also has a bundled method of providing VR development. OK, Articulate . . . don't let these platforms outpace you.
Anyone found a good way to use a VR headset? I cant create 360 videos and upload them direct to an Occulus. What i really want is it to work in an LMS.
If i use captivate i can zip the video up as a web file and attach to an LMS but the ratio is off, it may well work but i need to play around with it
We are creating facility tours [compressor stations, meter stations, warehouses, etc.] to be both viewed on computer [utilizing Storyline 360 images]. I use 3DVista Virtual Tour Pro to create and publish to Occulus [works great and process is simple]. 3DVista also does excellent job with 360 video and allows us to publish and then embed in Storyline 360 or a Rise 360 Storyline block. We've had great success. I use an Insta360 ONE X2 camera for both video and photos.
Hey terry thanks for the response, how do you find the resolution of the 360 videos when in a headset? I have the Insta360 ONE X2 also and find the quality really decreases inside the headset

Hi Terry!
This isn't currently supported, but I've shared your request with my team so that we can update you if this makes it on our feature roadmap!
Thanks

Yeah, this would be such a killer feature for Storyline! It's such an intuitive program. I vote for roadmap!

Go get them Kim. :) I agree.
A +1 for me for having this VR functionality :)
I keep waiting for just the capability to use VR Video.

We don't see any decrease in quality. I believe the 3DVista Virtual Tour Pro software we use is the reason.
