Does anyone know where I can get a list of keyboard shortcuts for mathematical and scientific symbols that can be created in Storyline?
For example, Alt+0176 creates the ° symbol in Storyline, but Alt+8805 doesn't work for the greater than or equal symbol; I get the letter "e" instead! I've used the shorthand version (>=13), but that's not going to work for me anymore.
I guess I don't understand how to use the Symbol font; I highlighted the text I want to change (>=13), went to Symbol and typed Alt+8805. Nothing happened.
You need to have the font set to Symbol when using the code however SL is not returning the correct symbols when the codes Alt+8804 or Alt+8805 are entered
Greater than is highlighted but is registering in description as something else. I've even tried all the subsets and none are working to return the correct symbol using codes, but if you click the symbol the greater than displays
Hi Kat! Are you working with Rise on a PC? Depending on what symbol you're looking for, I have also found it works to hold down the Windows key, then press the period key. This opens up the emoji keyboard on Windows-based computers, and the third tab in on the emoji keyboard has symbols.

Ew, no. Don't do that. you want/need the HTML short cut Alt+242

Hi Heather,
I usually just google alt codes as needed. That said, this community post might help you find what you're looking for: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/help-needed-with-mathematical-symbols
Thanks, Holley, but I can't make sense of it.

Wendy,
Thanks! Where do I find this box?
Hi Heather
see this Peek video - hope that helps
Derp!! Thanks! I feel like a doofus for not thinking of Insert>Symbol.
how about in a Rise table? Any tips?
Hi Kat!
What symbol do you need? Try searching for the symbol on this website: http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/search.htm
Then copy the symbol, and paste it into Rise 360 table. Here's a video where I demonstrate how it works!

Wow, this is super helpful! thank you for your quick response. I actually was able to paste it from a Word document. I love Rise.
Great- i'll bookmark that. Thanks for your assistance.
