Are more question types going to be included? It seems that only a multiple-choice (single answer) option is available. Would be good to see multiple-choice (multiple answers) and sorting questions etc.
Looking forward to seeing additional question types. Rise is a game changer as additional functionality will allow us to create a more custom and interactive experience for the user.
Having only multiple-choice with a single answer question type is a show stopper for me. It's a shame as I was really excited to try it and then... bugger :(
Hi Adam, if you could at least have more than one correct answer on the multi-choice that would be a good start. The other types I would like to see first would be Matching and Hotspot.
I would also like multiple select, matching, and hotspot as priorities. Also, as someone who tests students on recognizing symbols and their meanings, it would be nice to have the ability to select pictures and use media as part of the questions.
Thanks for letting me know that feature is there, Adam.
I create content for music education, so having visual and audio in quizzes is essential. Of course, I still have Storyline which is capable of creating this functionality, but Rise is such a cool development tool. I look forward to seeing it evolve over the next few months. I think it would cut my development time in half.
Thanks for checking in here about new question types - although we don't yet have an ETA on new question types being added to Rise, our team is continuing to look at all the ideas shared here within the E-Learning Heroes community and submitted within the Feature Request form to help us shape the roadmap. We'll keep folks posted in the Community and on the What's New page with all the exciting things to come!
Thanks for the feedback that you'd like to see a drag and drop question type. I know they're investigating other question types and ideas, so we'll keep you posted on any other changes and additions to the Rise questions.
For the feedback, I'm not sure I'm clear on what you'd like to see. Currently after you answer a question if you have the feedback enabled you'll see that just below the answered question. Are you looking to have feedback by answer choice vs. just a general feedback for the entire question? That answer level feedback is something being discussed as a part of our roadmap, and once we've got more clarification around that we'll be certain to share here.
Thanks Olivier - we've got answer -level feedback on our roadmap for 2017, but it's still a bit fluid as to a target quarter or time frame. We'll keep you posted here once there is additional information and you can also keep an eye on our What's New, What's Next page.
The Sorting Activity is designed as an ungraded, lean forward moment to guide a user to check their understanding of a particular topic. This type of activity empowers the user to pause and informally assess before moving forward in the content.
Currently, the only graded question types that can be included in a quiz are multiple choice questions. But we are looking at additional question types, so I'll make sure the team knows that you'd like to see a sorting or drag-and-drop option as well! Thanks for checking it all out. :)
Hi Adam, We're considering using Rise but are hamstrung by the limited quiz question types. Do you have an ETA on multi-select and True/False types? Thanks a lot...

Yup, we're gonna add more question types to Quiz. Thanks for your interest, Stuart.

Hang in there Andy, we're working on them now! If you had to pick just two others (for now) what's your most important other question types?

Randomizing questions and answers would also be a priority for me.
Thanks Anthony! You can already add an image to a question. (But not to answers.)
Question randomization and answer shuffling already exists too. Check out the Settings tab when authoring a quiz.

How about question banks and randomized draw from them? So that when retaking a test the same questions do not show up.
Currently, question banks don't exist but question randomization and answer shuffling are there. Check out the Settings tab when authoring a quiz.
I'd like to see text-entry question types as well.
essay, matching type, multiple response questions. thank you
Any update on this yet? Or a nice workaround to achieve multiple select question?
Thanks in advance!
Hi Berno and Happy New Year!

Would really like to see a drag and drop question type with positive or negative feedback too.
Can we also get right or wrong feedback on all questions too rather than just a single box?
Hi Cirri,
Thanks for the feedback that you'd like to see a drag and drop question type. I know they're investigating other question types and ideas, so we'll keep you posted on any other changes and additions to the Rise questions.

I would like to see the free form "pick one" question type. We use it exclusively for an attestation at the end of our courses in storyline.
Hi,
Like Cirri, i'd love to be able to have feedback by answer choice, and of course i'd also love to get the multiple-choice (multiple answers) fonction.
Thanks Olivier - we've got answer -level feedback on our roadmap for 2017, but it's still a bit fluid as to a target quarter or time frame. We'll keep you posted here once there is additional information and you can also keep an eye on our What's New, What's Next page.
Embedding Google Forms, as a quiz, give some extra question types. Plus it gives you some more analytics options.
All the best!
Is there a way to track the sorting activity so that it can be used as part of a quiz?
Hey Emma!
The Sorting Activity is designed as an ungraded, lean forward moment to guide a user to check their understanding of a particular topic. This type of activity empowers the user to pause and informally assess before moving forward in the content.

We're in the same boat..
